It was such a joy to photograph Erik and Elle’s wedding. I’m amazed at how these two go together so well and support each other through the unexpected. They have overcome obstacles prior to becoming husband and wife as the day before Elle was fairly shaken after being in a serious car accident. She had been in the ER the very night before her wedding. It could have been terribly worse although she did leave with some scrapes and bruising. She walked in the church the morning of her wedding looking as though nothing had happened. I was truly amazed at how she held up the entire day!!! And she was GORGEOUS! Pulled off her role as bride perfectly.
Elle made all the bouquets and corsages with such attention to detail. She is an English wiz and she and Erik both LOVE books and literature. Each flower was made from some of her favorite pieces, and some even out of old maps and music sheets. Certainly Pinterest worthy. :)
What a lovely bunch of people! I loved the way Elle’s mother looked at her. Such a proud moment for a mom. I teared up thinking what this moment would be like for me and my daughter some day.
I also loved Elle’s “something blue” which was her Dr. Who blue phone booth attached to her bouquet. :) So cute!
I absolutely loved all of Erik and Elle’s details! On each table, there were some of their favorite books and novels draped with mason jars and tea light candles. Such a lovely and classic feel to her already beautiful personality. Even the cake was decorated with some of their favorite scripts, Romeo and Juliet.
The room was filled with smiles and laughter as the toasts ensued. Lots of roasting, toasting, entertaining and celebrating!
Elle’s ring was made of Tanzanite, such a beautiful setting. It changes color depending on where it is and what it’s surrounded by. Perfectly dainty and fit just inside Erik’s handsome ring.
I couldn’t help playing with their rings, one of my favorite things at a wedding. :)
We got to have a bit of fun out by the clubhouse pool! Super fun when we get to play with some night shots. :)
Everyone grabbed a beautiful colored ribbon as Elle and Erik departed from their perfect wedding day.
It was truly an honor to celebrate with the two of you and your families! A special thanks to Luke and Alicia for allowing me to stay in the family and photograph your sweet and lovely sister and brother in law. :)
I also would love to thank my talented second shooter, Sara Corona, for getting some BEAUTIFUL shots for Elle and Erik to enjoy for years to come!
